Product Description: The yellow-pack 7 O’Clock SharpEdge (made in Russia, St. Petersburg factory) is widely regarded as one of the smoothest and sharpest blades ever to come out of a Gillette plant—think Astra SP smoothness with a big step up in cutting power and a touch more bite than a Gillette Silver Blue. It’s forgiving enough for daily use yet efficient enough to deliver BBS in two passes for most faces, with legendary consistency from blade to blade.

Customers praised these blades as "very smooth and sharp," delivering 4-6 shaves per blade with minimal irritation. Many found them reliable for coarse hair and sensitive skin. However, some noted the blades can tug slightly and may only provide 2-3 shaves for heavier beards. Overall, shoppers appreciated the sharpness and value.

Not as good as Derby Blades

I bought his blade to give them a try. I was able to get two close shaves, the third shave was adequate but the blade pulled as I shaved. I would say you could get three shaves if you have a light beard.

Exemplary blades that are very smooth and sharp!

Gillette SharpEdge are my new favourite blades, and I have decided that they are the only blades I will be using from now on. In regard to sharpness, they remind me of Feather blades, but I much prefer them over Feather for two reasons: they're significantly less expensive, and they are much smoother and don't cause any irritation at all (Feather blades always felt abrasive and scratchy to me). I have an unfortunate combination of sensitive baby skin and coarse pine-needle hair, but these blades are the perfect solution to that quandary because they will effortlessly mow through the most coarse hair and cause no irritation whatsoever. Quality control for this line seems to be excellent as well; I have yet to encounter a defective blade. I can usually get about five or six shaves out of a blade before I have to change it, so I would consider that a pretty good value in terms of longevity. Everybody perceives blades differently, so there will be some people who don't feel the same way I do about them, but it's definitely worth trying a pack if you're seeking a smooth, sharp blade that's suitable for coarse hair.

Solid blades, keep their edge!

The 5'Oclocks are a standard fare in my home, always keeping a good edge for at least a couple weeks of shaving every other day. Nothing fancy about them, but they're reliable!

Slightly Rough

These blades are pretty similar to the Shark blades. They're a little rougher, though, and they do tug a bit both across and against the grain. I got three good shaves out of the blade before needing to change it.

Surprisingly good

Bought the Astra and Voshkod blades to test them out and Stirling threw these in for free. I tried the Gillettes out last thinking they wouldn’t be very good but they might be my favorite of the three. I can get 4-6 shaves out of these with no problem, no irritation and the least amount of nicks.
