Scent Description: Based on an iconic shave soap scent that is no longer available, this is a scent we've had so many requests to do. Nothing can ever replace an original, but we really feel that the dry-down in this one just about nails it. As you might expect, this scent has green, bergamot, rosemary, lemon, orange and coriander for top notes. In the middle are notes of geranium, lavender, clove, and cedar. The base consists of moss tonka bean, and patchouli notes.

Ingredients: Beef Tallow, Stearic Acid, Aqua (Distilled Water), Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Parfum (Fragrance), (Vegetable) Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Fruit Oil, Cocos Nucifera Fruit Juice (Coconut Milk), Lanolin, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lactate

Sizes:

Shave Jar: 5.8oz

Refill Puck: 4.5oz

Sample Puck: 1.0oz

Customers praised this shave soap's "outstanding" performance with thick, dense lather and excellent slickness. The classic barbershop scent with notes of Irish Spring evokes nostalgia, described as "masculine" and "fresh." Most love the fragrance's complexity and longevity. Some found the scent too harsh or floral. Overall, shoppers report "top-notch" quality and skin-friendly ingredients.

Really good

I got this in today and tried it out. The performance is top-notch as always with Sterling products. This is a very masculine smelling soap and splash at first I didn’t really get it. But about 20 minutes later when I was putting some logs in the woodstove then I stood up and it hit me. This one’s a banger.

What irish springs should smell like

Really a classic and nostalgic barbershop scent with a dash of irish springs influence . Great soapy smell but its so much more. Its complex. Projection and staying power are outstanding like the lather. Easy to like. Should be in every collectors shave den!

Great lather, and long lasting scent

When I first opened the jar, the scent reminded me of taking a walk on a fog-drenched trail in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. (I want to say it's what Irish Spring should smell like, if we based it on those old commercials from the 1980s).

Building up lather with a wet brush to the face takes a bit of effort compared to other soaps in this price range, but the lather is superior (thick and dense). After rinsing, the skin feel is similar to the discontinued Mitchell's Wool Fat shave soap. The scent itself stays on well for something in this price range. It's initially very noticeable from about a foot away, and fades over half a day.

This is my first time using Stirling, and I'll definitely be back for more!

Very harsh smell

And maybe that is what the cologne is like that it is patterned after. It's spicy and powdery to a fault. Lather is great. But the smell is just not for me. Love the artwork. But one time is all I could stand.

I will buy this again very enjoyable, relaxing wonderful day sent keep up the good work.

2 months after using this and its become my signature scent. Think barbersol meets old spice with a touch of irish springs. Fresh from the barbershop type of scent. This is an instant stirling classic. The bath soap is a must too.

Always thought pawpaw wore Old Spice, but after using this it sent me back to when I was a kid. Now I remember that distinct green bottle of Irish Moos sitting in his medicine cabinet.
Very spicy, a true spice bomb, with a bit of floral and cream to round it out. Very strong, will stay with you all day.

Lovely scent

Be warned: off the puck, this soap smells like a urinal cake. But once you put it on and shave, it mellows into something really nice and springlike. Excellent performance as always

Not For Me

I want to start by saying I love the artwork on the shave soap container. However, this scent was not for me. There is a floral / incense note that just doesn't mesh with my sniffer. Give it a shot, but be mindful of the floral type scent.

Absolutely Nailed the Scent

This scent was long in the making and it was definitely worth the wait. The scent is on point with the original. Definitely an old school classic brought back.

This shave soap is a modern-day barbershop scent in my opinion, and one of the best shave soaps from one of the best companies. Its ingredients are super good for your skin. I am very happy with this product.

As always, Stirling Soap Company never disappoints. This fresh and mossy Fougere pays homage to a classic. If you like classic Fougere fragrances, you’re going to love this.

It’s different

If I was to best describe it I would have to say it reminds me restored older car with leather seats it’s not a date night scent more of weekend rainy cruising downtown type of scent with cut of warm tea.

Definitely not what I expected. That being said as always the quality of the soap is excellent. This scent is clean, crisp and refreshing. Im not sure what I really expected but i was pleasantly surprised.

Yet another new favorite from Stirling!

I have never smelled the original SIM but you can definitely tell how, as legend has it, the scent of Irish Spring soap was inspired by it. Strongly green and earthy and, well, spring-y. If you love an earthy green scent, this one is for you. As usual from Stirling, performance is the best in the business, easily up there with the highest of the high-end soaps. Will def be buying the EDT of this with my next order as the Mrs. really likes it and let's face it, that's all that matters :)

Great performer

I did have a stick of Sir Irisch Moos to do a side-by-side comparison. As always, Stirling soaps are top notch performers, no worries there. The biggest difference is the level of patchouli where the original is toned down more than I Rich Moose (this could be due to age). Great stuff.

I, Happy Moose shaver

I love SIM, and this soap really captures the flavor of that product. Of course the actual soap itself provides all the usual outstanding performance you’d expect. This may be my favorite soap you make now.

Classic Shave Soap

I honestly didn't know what to expect from this soap. The scent is very nostalgic of barbershops and accoutrements of days old. It reminded me very much of Clubman Pinaud. Of course, the soap performs as expected which is to say fantastically. Since discovering Stirling, I will not use any other soap.

Premium, high quality ingredients? Check.
Hand made in the South? Check.
Bang for your buck? Check.

Rod Stirling has made me a Stirling Shave Soap man! Even if a scent of any soap doesn't quite vibe, I'll still use it because no other shave soap is up to par. Keep up the Lord's work!
