Scent Description: This scent has top notes of Cardamom, middle notes of Bergamot, Cedar, and Lavender, and base notes of Vetiver and Caraway.  It's sophisticated and crisp and very masculine. Inspired by YSL La Nuit de l'Homme

Ingredients: Aqua (Distilled Water), Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Left Juice, Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol & Polysorbate 60 (Emulsifying Wax), Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, (Vegetable) Glycerin, Myristyl Myristate (Co-Emulsifier), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Phenoxyethanol & Caprylyl Glycol & Sorbic Acid (Optiphen Plus), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Parfum (Fragrance), Stearic Acid, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Allantoin.

NOTE: Due to the ingredient Allantoin, this product may exhibit white specks.  This does not affect the performance of the balm and the white specks are fully absorbed when applied to the skin. Allantoin is an additive that helps heal wounds and stimulates the growth of healthy skin tissue.

Bottle Size: 4.0oz

Highly-rated post-shave balm praised for its soothing properties and long-lasting scent. Customers said "a little goes a long way" and noted excellent absorption without greasiness. The balm effectively moisturizes and reduces razor irritation. Many appreciate the subtle, musky-woodsy fragrance that lingers throughout the day. Comparable to premium brands at a fraction of the cost.

Absolutely worth it

I've been using the Nivea men's balm for a while now and decide to try this out. Definitely an upgrade. I use it all over my face, ears, even the back of my neck. It's not greasy and it absorbs pretty quickly, leaving my face very soft and moisturize. I can also tell it has a bit of a toning effect from the witch hazel in it. And it definitely makes my face feel better after a shave.

It is important to note that you do want your face a little wet when you put it on. A little goes a long way. And you want the water to help it smear around.

The scent is lighter than other products with the scents, but that's not a problem. I will say it also has a very slight salon smell to it. Like that clean salon smell. Absolutely love that smell combined with sandpiper or Sharp dressed Man.

Excellent shaving balm

I bought the balm to pair with the shaving soap and aftershave. The balm smells exactly like the aftershave and absorbs in the skin nicely. The best aftershave balm I've ever used.

Wonderful

This is the second batch of post shave balm I've bought from here. I enjoy the feel and scent of the Sandpiper, it reminds me of something my grandfather would use. The balm is a bit thicker than my previous batch but a little goes a long way. I plan on continuing to shop here and try some of the other scents. It mosturizes well and seems to last most of the day.

Lovely smell, effective at its job

Great at dealing with razor irritation, has a lovely smell that lingers well after application, and a little goes a LONG way. If you've never used their line of aftershave balm, start off with less than you'd think you'll need.

Nice Scent and Post Shave Feel...

The Sandpiper post shave balm is really soothing to the skin after shave. All of the Stirling post shave balms I have used, including the Sandpiper, helps comfort the skin and I found that the allantoin ingredient the product contains has helped with clearing up any post shave irritation when combined with the Aftershave Splash.

When I read about the skin benefits of Allantoin, it made me wonder if there was any OTC products that contain just the Allantoin. I found such a product and I have found that combining both products helps healing of the skin, whether it is minor irritation or worse.

When it comes to the post shave balm, a little goes a long way!

Post shave treat

Sandpiper has become my favorite scent. The balm is a great post shave treat. Scent lingers a little while, but the main of it is it’s positive sensation immediately after applying.

I Might Be Crazy

Generic Stirling Post-Shave Balm Review:
These are pretty great. I enjoy the ritual of putting a little bit on after a shave and rubbing it in. I really scrub fairly vigorously and then gentler a few times until it is all spread and soaked, after which my face feels smooth (almost tacky as if it were freshly washed, in the best way).

Specific Scent Review:
I have not seen this mentioned anywhere else in the scent notes, but this smells like an apple orchard to me, or like fresh spiced cider. Something in this balm feels slightly warm, which might mean I shaved too roughly or it might be one of the ingredients, I have no clue. I really really enjoy this scent.

Amazing

Fun scent. Subtle, bright, slightly spicy. The balms seem to go on pretty strong, but it's amazing how effective a tiny amount is, so the scent mellows into the back after a reasonable time while still being there all day. Perfect. The balm itself is comparable to high end stuff. I'd put this on part with Skin Food, Clinique post shave balm, and CeraVe hydrating serum. And a good size tube at a fraction of the cost, at that. This is a winning product and actually gets used on my face, shaved head, and quarantine short beard to keep everything feeling good.

Great moisturizing lotion

Although billed as a post shave balm, I found that it makes a very good moisturizer for my entire face and neck. It absorbs quickly and leaves no greasy residue and does a great job of combating the dry skin I get particularly in the winter months. It has a great but subtle fragrance that won't overcome any other fragrance product (aftershave or cologne) that I might choose to use. I've become a big fan of Stirling's post shave balms and I own several in a variety of scents.

amazing musky-woodsy scent

Love it pairs well with the body lotion of the same scent and the cologne that it's inspired by.
