It's a great scent. It's a good shaving soap. I picked up the refill pack and recycled my red parasso soap tub.

Excellent Scent and outstanding performance

This scent sounded nice. But wasn't sure so ordered the sample puck.

The performance is great as usual with Stirling. The scent is very close to the YSL inspiration and while scents are subjective, in my opinion this is one of the very best men's fragrances created. Whenever I wear this or Triumph (Invictus) I keep getting compliments.

You just can't beat Stirling shave soap for the price and performance. The lather is outstanding and lots of slickness. The smell is great. Sandpiper is in my top 3.

Tried an Aftershave sample of Sandpiper and it's the reason why i ended up purchasing the Sandpiper trifecta--AS, Shave Soap and EDT. This delivers and hits everything I'm looking for...including passing the wife and daughter test. Admittedly, I've never smelled YSL La Nuit de l'Homme but I'm willing to wager that not only is Sandpiper close to the original , but it's also an improvement on it....much like most of Stirling's "inspired by" products..

This is my husbands favorite scent! I think it smells amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone!

I tried this Soap the other day and really enjoyed the scent. Real slick and provides for an excellent shave. Feels great.

I ordered up a number of 1 oz. samplers, and my girlfriend, after giving the nose test to most of them wanted me to try Sandpiper first.

I got my first shave with a tallow based soap and she got a trip back to the Outer Banks. The shave was smooth and the scent was light and pleasant. Very nice.

They knocked it out of the park with this one. The aromas are complex, invigorating, and seductive. I'd say they got pretty close to the YSL scent that inspired it, although it's not exact-- somehow it's cleaner and less cologne-like. Really great scent that lingers for hours, and my wife can't get enough of it. The lather and shave are top-notch, of course. Give yourself enough time to really get the lather going and you won't be dissapointed.

Soooo... I just started wet shaving a couple months ago, ran into Stirling soap company looking for samples to check out soaps. I got Sandpiper and 9 others.

Scent:
This scent is my favorite so far out every other scent that I ordered. The aftershave is is just as great. It's funny to read other reviews because scent's of soap I think smell different to all people. This scent reminds me of being in Mexico at the beach, but not a beachy smell like coconut and lime, but like being near the beach environment. It's more like a masculine sandy cinnamon yet slightly sweet cologne spice. It's really really nice. I'll be buying the 5.8oz puck once I'm done with sample along with Aftershave.

Product Performance: I'm really impressed with how little soap one needs to get A LOT of lather. This soap is THIRSTY for water, you can add a lot more water then you think for a nice sheen/lather.

Sandpiper is my favorite "Fragrance Oil" scent from Stirling. It is just awesome to shave with. The word sublime kept coming to mind. Go to the mall and sample "Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit de l'Homme EDT". That's the smell. Make sure it has the words "La Nuit" in the name or you've got the wrong one.

I was VERY pleased with this scent when I shaved with it today. It seems to take the cedarwood aroma I love so much in Arkadia and the clean freshness of Sharp Dressed Man, and wonderfully combine them to make a unique, subtle, but fairly long lasting scent.

If Arkadia is too strong for you (as, alas, is the case for my wife), but SDM is not quite strong enough (as, alas, is the case for me) Sand piper is that perfect middle ground, and smells FANTASTIC!

If you are looking for a go to scent, this is it. This is a standard not a flavor of the month. Performance is stellar. Consistent with all other Stirling soaps. Buy it now.

Many years ago is when I first heard of the cologne Yves St. Laurent Pour Homme. So long ago that I forgot what it smelled like! I knew, though, that with a name like that it must be pretty special. And now here it is-not quite the same, I suppose, but produced by Rod and Amanda in their special way. All of my shave soaps tend to hang around my den for a real long time, and I'm now so glad that Sandpiper is one of them! My first Sandpiper was a sample aftershave, and it immediately became my favorite of the 4. There was just something real nice about the crisp,, wonderfully masculine scent. And now, with the soap added, to the full-size aftershave I later bought, I get double the pleasure. And if that isn't enough, I get the quality performance I've enjoyed with any Stirling shave soap. I'm sure to order this again, but the question will be when. Great classy product, Rod&Amanda!
