Scent Description: Our flagship soap. This is the soap that started it all and also our most nourishing soap. Sheep Soap is made with mutton tallow that is rich in fatty acids and nutrients, along with lanolin to lock moisture into your skin. You will have a difficult time finding a soap that is better for your skin.
Ingredients: Mutton Tallow, RSPO (Sustainable) Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, Distilled Water, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Lanolin, Sodium Lactate
Bar Size: 5.5oz
Storage: Please store unopened soaps in a location that is cool, clean, and dry. This will help them last longer. Once a bar is in use, store it in a dish with slats, wire rack, or any soap dish prevents water from pooling underneath the soap. There are no chemical hardeners in the soap, nor are they milled soaps. Leaving them sitting in water will cause them to turn soft and greatly reduce the overall life of the soap.
Customers praised this lanolin-based bath soap for exceptional moisturizing properties, with many noting "skin feels much softer" and relief from dry, itchy skin. The soap lathers well and lasts 1-2 months per bar. While unscented, some detected a mild "sheepy" smell during use that doesn't linger. Ideal for sensitive or mature skin.

This is now my 'go to' soap. If you're a Senior having issues with your complexion, give this a try.
Great ingredients and great product. Best!
I have been using this soap for about a year. It has a premium and natural soap feel, does a good job of washing in the shower, and is wonderfully fragrance-free. It has a mild oily/soapy smell to it while lathering, but it fades as soon as it is washed off. A single bar lasts for a while (1 or 2 months, depending on how much use it sees).
Its great soap with lanolin so yes it smells a bit sheepy but your skin will be moisturized
Stirling Sheep bath soap is now my daily bath soap. I feel a noticeable difference in the softness of my skin with its use.
About 2 months ago, I started looking at bath soap alternatives to the daily bar soap brands found in the grocery store to reduce the overall irritation that I feel from my shaving routine. I am lucky to have a few local businesses that produce handmade soaps. These handmade soaps were a big improvement and enhancement for my skin. However, I have found that Stirling's Sheep bath soap offers a slightly better showering experience. It leaves my skin feeling slightly better than the local companies and the bars themselves last a bit longer. Similarly, I have tried a few different Stirling bath soaps. While I do not enjoy the scent of Sheep as much as other Stirling bath soap scents, Sheep does leave my skin feeling soft and smooth. I choose to use Stirling's solid cologne for my scent needs.
From what I think I have learned from the wet shaving community, I am perhaps a bit unusual in that I shave before showering. While I understand completely the logic behind shaving after the shower (or shaving in the shower), shaving before showering has helped me best to mitigate skin irritation more than other sequences.
So, Stirling Sheep leaves my skin feeling best on a daily basis and I anticipate relying on it for as long as they produce it.
Sheep bath soap is fantastic.
Sheep bath and shave soap are my go to's. Both are outstanding .
I tried this soap out of curiosity. I didn't expect it to have such a strong smell of sheep, and I didn't expect to appreciate such a strong sheepy smell. But I do! It makes me feel like I am clean and outdoors while in the shower. And do not fear, you will not go through your day smelling of animal. It is not a lingering scent.
This is far from the only soap I will be reordering from Stirling, but I think it holds a special place just for being such a pleasant surprise.
Like all the other bars, the soap is great, but the aroma of sheep In this particular bar is a bit too much for me.
I love the Stirling bar soaps, especially the unscented and essential oil ones.
This one is my absolute favorite. I make sure I have this in stock during the winter months when there is a greater chance of having dry skin. Great lather, rinses clean and has a very mild scent. You will definitely feel a difference when you start using this soap.
I have used several Sterling products and enjoy all of them!
The Sheep Bath Soap is wonderful for my sensitive skin!
I've been a Stirling customer for a few years now and couldn't be happier with the product. I usually order a few bars at a time to try out different scents and have found a couple of favorites. Most recently, I tried the "Sheep Soap" and it's great. Not the strongest scent of the available options so, if that's what you're looking for, you might want to try a different one. However, it does have a richer lather than the others that I've tried (not to say that they didn't work great too).
The products alone are worth coming back but the customer service is really what pushes this brand over the top. All of my orders have been promptly filled and received. There's usually a friendly "thank you" written on my receipt and every order so far has included a sample bar of a different scent to try for free. They really seem to appreciate your business and that's not something that I've found to be true of other brands.
Couldn't be happier. I'll buy their soap for as long as they keep making it.
I wouldn't keep coming back and buying more of this and y'alls shave soap if it wasn't the best.
Seriously the best soap for your skin- full of everything sheep produce to keep those thick wool coats, you know it’s nourishing!
Just wanted to chime in, I got a sample recently and it’s a nice soap. I don’t have the greatest sense of smell, but I wanted to say that to me this soap doesn’t smell like a sheep or a livestock yard or whatever. I can’t smell much of anything in fact. I would not let a scent concern deter you from trying this soap.
It does in fact smell a bit sheepy, which i can understand some folks not liking. However, the point of this soap is to be good for your skin not smell like a junior high locker room getting carpet bombed with cheap aerosolized “cologne”. Granted, none of Stirling’s products smell like a junior high locker room, which is i why i like the company so much. They are all very wholesome fragrances that smell great. Fragrance aside, this soap definitely makes my skin feel much better in the drier winter months.
The soap definitely smells like sheep. Like, sheep that’s been in a barn for a few hours. I have mixed feelings.
Lost count of the amount of bars of this I've been through so I guess I should write a review. While no extra scent is added it has a simple clean scent that I can't get enough of. Amazing lather and my skin feels super clean and nourished after every shower. It's everything you want in a soap and nothing you don't.
I am in my 50's and my skin is getting drier as I age, this soap really hydrated my skin. I just placed an order for Shea and oatmeal soap, but I am sure that I will be back to the Sheep soap next time.
This is the best soap I've ever used! The livestock scent another reviewer mentioned is more like the smell of leather, it's really nice (I wish it followed me out of the shower!)
Soap is really good and cleans well. While no scent is added be aware that it is sheep product so does smell like a livestock field when in the shower. Once out it is not a problem. If that is an issue try a scented product. I am going to look into naked & smooth as I am hoping it is scentless.
My father turned me onto Stirling and recommend this soap and I haven't looked back. I have sensitive skin, and a lot of fragrances bother me- especially when it comes to bath products. This lathers incredibly well, washes clean, and makes my skin feel moisturized... never greasy or filmy. Highly recommend!
Mutton Tallow! It sounds like the last thing that i would want to put on my face. that being said, this soap is the mildest creamiest soap that I have come across. for decades I was using Irish Spring, Dial, Zest, whatever was on sale and never had a problem. Last year, i have no idea why, all this stuff was giving me an unpleasant
rash. after a lot of trial an error Stirling Sheep is the solution. Zero issues. Zero scent. i shower in the morning and again after an evening run. ill use this Sheep soap until i start growing wool.
This Sheep Soap along with the Unscented Body Lotion has been helping my skin to heal. My over sensitive, mature skin has been reacting to everything & I needed to find products I could use with no skin reaction.
My skin had a bit of reaction when I used the Naked & Smooth Bath Soap,
but zero reaction with the Sheep Soap. Finding several products from one company that I can use with no issues, is amazing. Love the Sheep Soap, Unscented versions of the Body Lotion & the Lip Balm Tube.
I have tried all the bath soaps Stirling has and this one right here is the best during dry seasons or if you have dry skin. Cleans very well but leaves a slight film that isn’t greasy or anything it just moisturizes deep in the skin. Has a slight fatty scent to it but it doesn’t bother me at all and it’s very hard to tell. Even works well as a shampoo Or facial soap if other soaps dry you up too bad. Unscented is a plus as well because it doesn’t clash with any shaving products or colognes I wear.
This is the soap I use most the time as I have dry skin issues or some places I travel have harsh water that dries my skin even more. Overall one of my favorites! Thank you Stirling!
I love this soap! Super luxurious, super moisturizing, very high quality. I just feels soooo good! It is also a crazy good eye makeup remover! I don't use waterproof makeup but i wouldn't doubt this soap's abilities for a moment. One pass with this soap and its all off! Wonderfully clean and well moisturized skin. Completely unscented.
You can feel the quality of this soap when you use it. It has a creamy texture which moisturizes the skin. And it doesn't have that chemically smell but just smells clean and fresh.
first off, this is excellent soap. we are currently in the middle of the coldest and driest time of the year around Chicago. This is the time of year when fingers crack, and skin itches. I have absolutely noticed that after I use this soap, I do not get the itchy tight skin that is typical for me at this time of year. I do still need to apply some witchhazel or something to fight the dry air, but at least I am ahead of the game when I step out of the shower.
The only downside for me with this soap is that it does indeed have a sheepy smell. being a fan of sheeps milk cheeses, I can identify the scent immediately. While the scent is not offensive, I dont love it. especially when I wash my face with it. So, with so many great scents here at stirling, I will simply choose a scented soap next time.
Great unscented soap. Other reviews have it right, skin seems less dry in this crazy winter weather.
Just good clean soap. Lathers well with a shower sponge. You will be sqeeky clean with no scent.
