Scent Description: Leather. Smoky. Cedar. Made with Birch Tar, Cade, Labdanum, Vanilla, and a heaping helping of Texas Cedarwood. This is the scent of a forest fire in Texas.

Ingredients: Beef Tallow, RSPO (Sustainable) Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, Distilled Water, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Essential Oil, Sodium Lactate

Bar Size: 5.5oz

Storage: Please store unopened soaps in a location that is cool, clean, and dry. This will help them last longer. Once a bar is in use, store it in a dish with slats, wire rack, or any soap dish prevents water from pooling underneath the soap. There are no chemical hardeners in the soap, nor are they milled soaps. Leaving them sitting in water will cause them to turn soft and greatly reduce the overall life of the soap.

Bath soap with an intensely smoky campfire scent that customers describe as "very masculine." Praised for excellent lather and quality, though the bold fragrance is polarizing. Some love the unique smoke/ash notes, while others find it too strong. A few mention it can dry skin. "Fantastic lather" and leaves skin feeling clean.

The Best Scent

This is my favorite bar soap to use due to the smell it evokes, a grass fire. The scent has ebbed and flowed in power and presence through the years but it is consistently itself. Wonderful smoke and ash notes and has a fantastic lather.

I got one bar to try, only giving 4 stars because Im not fond of the scent.

3 days using this soap. Wish i could only take off a half star. I like the scent better in their shave soap form but it is good and enjoyed using it.

Name is spot on

First, let me share: my daughter says that Stirling's naming department is top-notch, and this soap smells exactly as it sounds. The soap, to me, smells like a cowboy coming out of a VFW. Good one. I love it.

Smokey campfire + smoked tea = amazing scent

Received this as a sample and questioned the smell out of the package but gave it a try. Might now be one of my favorites. Reminds me of Lapsang Souchong tea, which is a smoked tea and certainly smells like a campfire. Amazing stuff. Very masculine.

One of my favorites

I’ve been a customer buying Stirling soaps for several years and Texas On Fire is one I get in almost every order. I love it! I love the campfire smell on my body, and the soap makes my skin feel amazing! I would highly recommend it!

No false advertising here

You get what you ask for… you smell like a fire pit which if you’re into that kind of a thing, go for it. Otherwise would recommend against getting this scent

Great scent

This is my second bar of Texas on Fire. Love this scent. A little smoke, a little something else. I heard it’s a polarizing scent but I love it.

Great scent

First time buying this scent. Very happy. Has a smokey note, like a great campfire. Will definitely re order this product.

Interesting Novelty Soap; Won't Order Again

The product description claims that it has vanilla, cedar, and other scents in there somewhere, but I can't tell. It smells like I'm washing myself with a bar of liquid smoke.

Still washes well, but doesn't smell "clean" to me.

Not for me

No question about the quality of the soap, it lathers nicely and leaves you feeling clean. But it's an odd smell, not one I would usually associate with cleanliness. You may like it but it's not for me.

Scent is maybe a little too accurate and literal

I also got this as a sample. The smell is 70% campfire and 30% spicy leather. And when I say campfire I mean exactly what you smell like after standing around a campfire for a while. Very smoky, as advertised. That's the kind of smell I'm usually glad to shower and get rid of, not exactly what I want to add to myself. And the leather aspect of it just doesn't do enough to pull it into a good place but leather just isn't a scent profile I enjoy either. I will say the smoke and leather do combo into an overall masculine scent but it's just not for me.

Not my cup of tea

I received this as a sample. The scent is not for me. I smelt like I rolled around in burnt out fire pit or a wood house that just burn to ground. Soap is great just not the scent.

This is the stuff

I will probably start getting a lot of this and the Haverford. Where pine tar soaps are a 10, this hits a 7 on the scent intensity scale. Strong but not constant and overpowering, just right.

Not for me but great soap!

I received sample of this. This is completely true to its name. The smell isn't for me but it is very strong smoke/ash smell. It's worth 5 stars because it's true to its name and delivers just not for me.

Don't let the lady smell the bar. I say again, DO NOT let the lady smell the bar.

The bar itself has a smell that's undeniably potent. My wife said, and I quote: "Oh my, if I were on my period I would throw up already." Since I'm a man with almost no sense I laughed. Anyway, it's a great soap. Good lather, hard bar that won't turn to mush after three uses, and the intensity of the direct bar smell dies away after the rinse (duh) making the aroma far more pleasant to Household Six. Just have to get past that initial kick in the face. The dude who said it has that Islay scotch (I assume he means peat) smell wasn't far off the mark. It's quite nice.

The Isle of Islay of soaps

If you like scotchs from the Isle of Islay, this is the soap for you. A nice smoky scent. Ron Swanson would be proud of this.

Great Smell of Cedar

Definitely a great smelling soap. The cedar is the predominant scent. unfortunately i prefer the menthol soaps. I would definitely give this as a gift tho.

Man Soap.

This soap rules. This is my favorite bar soap anywhere, hands down. When I first got it, I was pretty taken aback by how intense it is. It smells more or less like your clothes would after you've been sitting by a campfire all night. When you're in the shower. On your body after, it mellows out considerably.

There's really no other scented soap as aggressive as this out there that I know of. I can't wait to get more.

Intense!

I love Stirling Soaps, just read my other reviews. I do think it's fair to the product line to be honest about all the scents. I must say this one isn't for me. I tried it but man! I literally was ushered into the middle of a raging burning forrest fire surrounded with thick smoke. If you like that experience, then this is the bar for you. With that said, I do use it on my dogs (I couldn't imagine throwing a bar of Stirling in the trash.) I had to find a use for it. It cleanses them great and the fleas literally jump off and it kills them! Who would of guessed. I can only imagine they think the dogs are on fire and they are looking for the exit! LOL!!! Great product just not the scent for me. And please note, this is the only scent so far that I haven't liked to the point I wouldn't use it. I'm just not a smokey kind of guy. I absolutely love the rest. Keep up the great work Rod & Mandy! -TW

So rich

Imagine you are sitting on a wide back porch near a fire pit during the mid to late autumn. Your friends and family have all gone inside and it is just you, reclining in a deck chair. You are deep in thought as a cool fall breeze carries the scent of the nearly dead embers from the fire pit.

You stop all your thoughts to experience the cadence of aromas that punch into your nostrils: rich, complex wood smells mingled with a hint of leather and tar invading your senses as smoke. That is what this soap makes me think/feel. I love it.

Only four stars because the scent doesn't linger quite as strongly on the body as the other scents. I definitely plan on getting some more of this simply because it is so unique!

Holy smokes, Batman

The soap is great. I tend to have sensitive skin and this soap didnt break me out or dry my skin out. Now. The scent. My GOD. It is strong. You smell like youve been rolling around in a camp fire all night. Smoke detectors went off. Smokey the Bear came to my door. I love the smell of camp fire, dont get me wrong. But decided perhaps after I scrub up in the shower I, myself, prefer a more clean, fresh scent. If you are looking to smell, literally, like Texas on fire, look no further. Just not for me. However, this company was awesome enough to send me a free sample of Barbershop soap. Love it. Definitely more my speed.

Great scent

I love the scent but the soap leaves my skin dry feeling compared to Dove.

Pretty good

I like the scent, but it could be a little bit stronger. Otherwise a great soap as all of Stirlings bath soaps. They lather well and are great on the skin.
